ButGalatasaray was not able to use a home court advantage and was crushed by the opponent from Oldenburg 93-64 on Tuesday night. Oldenburg outrebounded Galatasaray 50-34 including a 38-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Oldenburg looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Galatasaray 's players. Forward Johnell Nyalwal (198-2008) stepped up and scored 16 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and forward Marko Cuvalo (204-2008, agency: AltusBasket) chipped in 19 points and 6 rebounds. At the losing side Mert Aydin (-2008) responded with 17 points and Yusuf Ersoy (-2008) scored 10 points and 7 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest.
